Conducts preventive maintenance inspection of equipment.

??????? Independently determines the nature of trouble and extent of repairs required and completes repairs following established trade practices and procedures, using technical manuals, blueprints, sketches, wiring diagrams, liquid and air flow sheets, and other specifications.

??????? Performs operational and safety tests after repairs have been completed or when new equipment is received to assure that equipment is operating within prescribed limits so that lives are not endangered.

??????? Must have an Associate Degree in Biomedical Engineering Technology or equivalent military training and at least 2 years experience in the maintenance, calibration, and repair of biomedical/dental systems is desirable.

A full-time Research Assistant is sought for work on several projects that combine psychophysiology with neuroimaging. The central research program seeks to understand the overlapping neural circuitry involved in breathing and anxiety. Postdoctoral Fellow in Neural Engineering at CCNY
The Department of Biomedical Engineering at the City University of New York (CCNY campus) is seeking a Postdoctoral Fellow in Neural Engineering. The research focuses on the effects of electrical stimulation on human brain function for therapeutic and performance enhancing purposes. The work is closely coupled with development of a new medical device for electro-therapy. This is a collaborative research project between the labs of Lucas C. Parra, Marom Bikson (CCNY) and Eric M. Wassermann (NIH). The work will be performed at CCNY in New York City and the National Institute of Neurological Decease and Stroke in Bethesda. The experimental work involves non-invasive electrical stimulation and EEG recordings in healthy volunteers. • Must have demonstrated competence in biomedical research and strong writing skills. • An understanding of clinical pharmacology, clinical research methodology and biostatistics is mandatory. • Experience with MS programs is expected, and familiarity with database programs and methods of data display very helpful. Responsibilities: • Under the direction of MCD manager, the Sr. Medical Writer has the primary responsibility to prepare quality articles and abstracts for timely peer-reviewed publication in major clinical and medical journals worldwide. • These publications for both major in-line and newly launched products and particularly products soon-to-be launched (including new indications) will support marketing efforts to maintain and augment visibility and interest in Client products. • Publications will address both major and minor MRL, CDP, CDSP study results are centrally important to help Client products remain competitive in a marketplace with increasingly sophisticated customers, and maintain Client's scientific credibility. • The Sr. Medical Writer will interact with other departments (Clinical Research, Marketing, etc.) to help develop publication plans, and assist in prioritizing papers and presentations. • The Sr. Writer may supervise other MCD staff.
